Faye Kong is an emerging artist born in China. She currently works in Australia. She has worked at sculpture, installation art, video art and drawing.
Faye’s work probes the psychological resonance of human beings in the course of their existence, which is related to the ideas of loss, isolation and predicament.
By using the methods of repetition, impermanence and vulnerability, her work explores the emotional connection between human beings and time, matter and space by creating the combination of object and space and a series of sensory experiences.
Faye’s work emphasises material, perception, and the interrelationships between space and matter. Her works are driven by her interests in past, memory, chance and impermanence in time.
Faye's practice aims at blurring the boundaries of each art field, breaking specific artistic techniques through exploring different fields.
